What a lovely tribute.
My Papa, he fough in the wars, but unfortunstly this March he passed away, and veterens day is here and we would like to take this time to honor him, for him and his services to this country will never be forgotten.
It is very sad especially with Christmas coming which is also 3 days after his birthday.
If the papers are hard to read and you would like to know what is says let me know and I will type it up.

What a lovely tribute.
I will say, "Thank you." My father was a career serviceman. He was shot down in WWII, served in Korea, and two tours in Viet Nam. He had several Purple Hearts, Bronze Stars, and the Medal of Honor. I was very proud of my Papa. He died 10 years ago. Time blurs the loss but never the memory of the men and women that have and are serving this country so I and my family can be free. That was a really nice tribute! My grandpa was a pilot in WWII when he was only 19. He died when I was two-years old so I don't have any real memories of him. [img]frown.gif[/img]

Thank you for this. As a tribute to my grandfather this year I worked the Election Polls - It was the least I could do after all that he and so many others have done for this country - BOth before and After WW2
That was just beautiful. I lost my own father in '88. He served in the Navy for 2yrs 2mo and 2 days at the age of 17.
Just lost my FIL at the age of 85 in May'06. Ret. from the Air Force. Flew in WWII, then reentered during Korea, served until his last assignment flying in early Vietnam War. Retired from second job in Texas and lived there until he went to see his Father in May.
My own DH is Ret. USARMY,Gulf War Veteran.
